Criminal Defense Investigative Support

A criminal case should be evaluated from more than one perspective. Investigative Services Unlimited Group supports defense attorneys and may also be retained by defendants, families, and other authorized private clients. When counsel is involved, we coordinate the investigation with the legal team.

• Discovery and evidence review: Review police reports, photographs, recordings, jail calls, discovery materials, timelines, and witness statements for conflicts, omissions, and follow-up leads.
• Witness investigation: Locate and interview witnesses, clarify prior statements, document relevant recollections, and identify additional people with information.
• Scene and timeline development: Conduct lawful scene follow-up, photograph relevant conditions, test routes or timing, and organize events into a working chronology.
• Background and lead research: Develop relevant information about witnesses, parties, locations, communications, and other lawful investigative leads.

Our Investigative Process

The assignment begins with counsel’s theory of the case, the charges, deadlines, discovery received, and questions requiring factual development. We prioritize fragile evidence and witnesses, document each investigative step, and communicate developments that may affect legal review. Work may continue through motions, trial preparation, sentencing, appeal, or post-conviction stages when authorized.

Information and Evidence We May Review

• Official materials: Reports, body-camera footage, dispatch information, recorded interviews, photographs, forensic summaries, and other available discovery.
• Defense materials: Client timelines, alibi information, communications, receipts, video, location information, and potential witness details.
• Independent sources: Lawfully obtained public records, scene observations, interviews, and third-party records made available through counsel or proper process.

Reporting and Case Coordination

Counsel may receive investigative reports, witness summaries, timelines, evidence indexes, lead memoranda, photographs, and source materials. We clearly identify what was observed, what a witness reported, and what remains unconfirmed.

Who We Assist

We assist in serious felony, homicide, fraud, white-collar, wrongful-conviction, false-arrest, and other Florida state or federal matters. Services are tailored to the evidence, defense objectives, jurisdiction, and stage of the case.
